Kudos to Victor Borza (G5) from Dr. Kim Unertl, Director of Graduate Studies for the Biomedical Informatics Graduate Program. “Victor, who recently defended his PhD, served as the student representative on the Biomedical Informatics Admissions Committee for this admissions cycle. He made significant and meaningful contributions to the success of the Biomedical Informatics PhD program admissions process this year. He participated in review of applications, discussions of candidates, and visits to Nashville for our admitted applicants. He contributed insightful yet empathetic points during our discussions of candidates and was a helpful voice as we considered admissions decisions.”

This past week at the American Physiological Society’s national meeting, Emma Hope (G2) was selected as one of three pre-doctoral finalists for her science. She delivered an amazing talk, answered questions like a pro, and won the overall award (against much more senior students). Congratulations to Emma!
