The Vanderbilt MSTP held its annual retreat at Henry Horton State Park. Organized each year by the rising G3 class, the retreat gives students and faculty a chance to reflect on the past year, welcome new trainees, and spend time together outside of campus.
This year’s theme was Science Communication, with sessions focused on how to better communicate science and medicine to a wide range of audiences. Our keynote speaker, Dr. David Wright, shared stories and lessons from his career as a malaria researcher, offering practical advice and perspective for students as future physician-scientists.
