Ongoing Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)

Any student or trainee funded by the NIH is required to receive training in responsible conduct of research (RCR). All investigators at Vanderbilt should stay current in their understanding of RCR.

Postdoc Trainees must participate in continued RCR training each and every year you are at Vanderbilt.  A collection of ongoing training sessions does not equal the full day training.  You must do the full day training in your first year, and participate in ongoing training each and every year thereafter.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow (employees) would be wise to attend RCR as well.  When applying for many grants you will need to show how your institution provides RCR training and if you have attended or when you plan to attend.
