The NIAID Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Transplantation (DAIT) Basic Immunology Branch has an opening for a supervisory immunologist, who will serve as branch chief and provide oversight and direction for a staff of 12 doctoral-level scientists managing research contracts and grants on a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from mechanisms of ontogeny of the immune system to defining immune signatures of response to vaccination.

An ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and expert professional knowledge of the biology, chemistry, and genetics of the immune system; its activation and regulation in response to infectious pathogens; and underlying mechanisms of immune-mediated disease.
