Job Opportunity: News writer, SFARI.org

Posted by on Thursday, June 18, 2015 in Job Opportunities .

The dynamic news team at SFARI.org (soon to be rebranded as Spectrum) needs a high-energy reporter to cover stories that educate, challenge and inspire our audience of scientists.

This is an excellent opportunity for a science journalist to develop a beat in the fast-moving field of autism.

Genetics, cognition and behavior, research ethics and molecular neuroscience must quicken your heart. You will cultivate sources, embed yourself in the community and be the first to know about trends and provocative advances.

SFARI.org is funded by the Simons Foundation, but the news section is editorially independent. All of the news and opinion is moving to a separate website, spectrumnews.org, later this summer.

Bring at least three years of experience along with a solid biology background and impeccable news judgment. We offer a generous salary and truly excellent benefits.

Send your resume and cover letter with salary requirements to jobs@simonsfoundation.org.
