ABOUT BIODESIGN
Fellows from engineering, medicine, business, design, computer science and research backgrounds work together in interdisciplinary teams to observe and identify unmet needs and collaboratively create products to solve them.
Teams are mentored by leading experts from across the Texas Medical Center, with additional support from a network of TMC clinicians, experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals. From the start, team members are immersed in the clinical experience, uncovering, analyzing and prioritizing needs before exploring and implementing potential solutions.
In addition, fellows develop clinical, regulatory and business strategies to minimize the hurdles of commercialization and more readily transform visionary solutions into viable businesses.
