Job Opportunity: Assistant Professor, Molecular Biology, Rhodes College, Memphis, TN
The Department of Biology at Rhodes College seeks qualified applicants for a one-year faculty position as Assistant Professor to begin in August of 2019. Rhodes College is especially interested in attracting candidates from historically underrepresented groups and/or those with demonstrated commitment to working with diverse and historically underrepresented populations. Candidates must have a Ph.D. (completed by August, 2019) in a field of biology related to molecular biology and a strong interest in engaging students at the undergraduate level. The person who fills this position will teach an upper level course in Molecular Biology and lab (fall and spring), an Introductory Biology lab (comprised of topics in cellular and molecular biology and genetics, fall), and a capstone senior seminar course in their area of specialty for Biology majors (spring).
