Job Opportunity: Research Postdoctoral Pulmonary Fellow, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN
A postdoctoral position is immediately available for a highly motivated, dynamic and energetic Ph.D. or M.D., Ph.D., to study the molecular determinants of lung cancer development in different model systems in vitro, preclinical models and humans. A successful applicant will assume a major scientific part in a multidisciplinary project aimed at investigating the role of metabolic reprogramming, genomic instability and immune microenvironment to promote lung tumorigenesis. The candidate will benefit from access to a large and fully annotated biorepository of airway and blood specimens. A strong background in Cancer Biology, Computational Biology or Biochemistry is preferred. Candidate is expected to be able to conduct research independently, and willing to work in a team environment. Successful applicants will participate in collaborative research with laboratories in and outside Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
