ASPIRE Internship Opportunity:

Objective GI
Data Analytics Intern

341 Cool Springs Blvd, #450
Franklin, TN 37067

Objective GI is a life sciences services and technology company establishing clinical research partnerships with gastroenterology medical practices and providing research infrastructure, optimal trial selection, study implementation, and key personnel management. Our proprietary processes and technology eliminate the practice workflow disruptions typically associated with clinical trials and create a profitable ancillary vertical that enhances patient care in silent chronic diseases.

The Data Analytics Intern will be responsible for the data collection, curation and analysis of a clinical trial screening database intended to support the further study of silent chronic diseases.  The intern will be involved in both the strategic design of the data collection process and the technical decisions around data definition and architecture.  As the initial data is populated, the intern will transition to more data science related duties centered around algorithm definition based on data.

THE PARTICIPANT WILL:

  • Lead data entry of unstructured data and scanned patient documentation into the clinical trial documentation system
  • Assist in the database design and identification of key data elements for enhanced data collection
  • Assist in the creation of processes to validate/curate the data prior to entry into the database to ensure accuracy
  • Create a data dictionary that identifies what data resides where and in what format
  • Utilize a combination of data export files and scripts to extract data from internal sources and add to the database
  • Analyze data within the database to understand whether there is potential to predict which patients belong in which trials
  • Learn the full life cycle of management of clinical trials
  • Potential opportunities to travel to remote sites to observe and learn about points of access
  • Gain exposure to the professional culture in a high-growth healthcare tech startup
