The Office of Undergraduate Research at the University of Missouri is searching for an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR.

 

We are seeking someone who is passionate about developing students at a public institution, coordinating events, promoting undergraduate research, using their talents and strengths, and having fun with a team of like-minded colleagues!  This is an amazing opportunity for someone with initiative, energy, and determination to help take MU to the next level of excellence and leadership in undergraduate research and faculty mentored scholarship.

MU defines undergraduate research as student engagement in scholarship (e.g., research, creative, or professional projects) designed to lead to generalizable knowledge or other such outcomes as may occur in a particular field of study.  It is a faculty-mentored experience using approaches, methods, and analysis appropriate to the discipline.

 

The Office of Undergraduate Research (undergradresearch.missouri.edu) fosters and supports mentored undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in a premiere research environment.  We seek to achieve this mission by:

  • Fostering the growth of undergraduate research and creative scholarship
  • Facilitating best practices of undergraduate research and creative scholarship
  • Maximizing the student experience and enhancing quality of the experience
  • Increasing visibility of the opportunities and outcomes of undergraduate research and creative scholarship
  • Serving as a central resource for MU students, mentors, programs, and departments

 

The Office of Undergraduate Research is one of the collaborating units under the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies (undergraduatestudies.missouri.edu).  MU is an Institutional Member of CUR.
