FOCUS co-leaders needed

Posted by on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in Announcements .

The first year biomedical sciences PhD program, the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program, is recruiting senior grad students and postdocs to serve as FOCUS Co-Leaders for 2020.

FOCUS sessions are small group literature discussions for first year graduate students.  Co-Leaders will be paired with a faculty member and learn how to teach small group discussion sections.  The time commitment is every Monday from 11-12 and Tuesdays from 9-11.  Sessions will be a combination of online and in-person formats.  Anyone wishing to apply should first consult with and get permission from their PI and then send an email to James.G.Patton@Vanderbilt.edu.

This is a terrific opportunity to get teaching experience to showcase on your CV, particularly if you are interested in a faculty career.
