52nd Annual Midwest Biomedical Research Forum

Posted by on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in Announcements .

The 52nd Annual Midwest Student Biomedical Research Forum (MSBRF) will be held virtually on February 27, 2021. Students are encouraged to submit an abstract for this year’s forum. This very successful student activity has been co-sponsored by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University since 1987.

The previous MSBRF, held in February 2020, was a tremendous success with over 100 students from Midwestern medical schools presenting their research in oral and poster sessions. The participants of MSBRF are the rising stars of biomedical research, development, and medicine in our region and are our future physicians, scientists, researchers, and educators.

The presenters will receive judging scores from six different faculty members; three for the abstract and three for the presentation on the day of the forum. There are separate judging categories for both medical/professional students and graduate students in both the oral and poster presentation formats. In addition, there are financial awards to the top presentations in the various categories.

We appreciate you encouraging students to participate in this unique educational opportunity. If you have any questions or if we can assist you in any way, please contact Jared Berezin (JaredBerezin@creighton.edu) or Whitney VanArsdall (whitney.vanarsdall@unmc.edu) for additional information.

The deadline for registration and abstract submission is January 11, 2021.

Registration for MSBRF can be found here.
