Presidential Management Fellowship program application open- great for transitioning to government

Posted by on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Job Opportunities .

The Presidential Management Fellows Program (PMF) is a prestigious leadership development program designed to help advanced degree candidates and advanced degree holders enter a career in the US Federal Government. Selected PMF Finalists are eligible to work in a managerial/ administrative role (not research) at a range of government agencies. PMFs perform valuable service while jump-starting their careers, and get full salary and benefits as well as challenging assignments, formal professional training, and optional rotations to other agencies during the two-year program.

The PMF Program will begin accepting applications for its 2022 class at noon (ET), Tuesday, September 28, 2021. The application period will close on at Noon (ET), Tuesday, October 12, 2021. These dates, and any updates, have been posted here: https://www.pmf.gov/become-a-pmf/2022-application/. Approximately six weeks after the application closes, we expect to announce PMF Class of 2022 Finalists.

We have also released the updated “PMF Applicant Handbook” and posted it to the PMF website. The Handbook can be found under the “Become a PMF\Resources” section at https://www.pmf.gov/become-a-pmf/resources/. The Handbook details the annual application process, explains eligibility requirements, required documentation, and provides an overview of the online assessment process, all with the goal of preparing prospective applicants to submit successful applications. Please note that we have integrated the previous “PMF Assessment Preparation Guide” into the Handbook.

During the month of September 2021, the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program will be hosting a series of informational webinars for prospective applicants about the upcoming PMF Class of 2022 Application. The informational webinars will provide a general overview of the PMF Program, details about the 2022 application cycle, and, if time permits, allow for any questions. Please note that several of the webinars have a specific focus related to strategic recruitment goals, but all will cover the basics outlined above and are open to all majors. The webinars will not be recorded for later publishing or viewing.
