Precision Health Program Scientist

The Institute for Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS) and Department of Pediatrics are recruiting a scientist to help lead our Precision Health Team at Washington University.

The Precision Health Program Scientist will assist in leading the Precision Health function of the ICTS, formerly the Precision Medicine Function, https://ictsprecisionmedicine.wustl.edu/). The goal of this ICTS function is to facilitate the translation of genomics and multiscale systems approaches to the health of our community by supporting multidisciplinary teams of scientists, clinicians, and community members. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply for this position that will include interfacing with scientists and the community. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with community members and leaders on educational and study recruitment initiatives.
  • Work with ICTS scientists and core facilities to assist in navigating available resources, in particular genomic and electronic medical records resources, and maintaining and advertising Precision Health resources.
  • Prepare complex progress reports and assists with budgets and grant allocations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with genomics, epidemiology, health disparities, education and/or participant recruitment is particularly valued for this position.
  • Ability to understand often complex scientific information and translate into easy to understand communications.

Minimum Requirements

PhD or equivalent, and two years of post-doctoral work or experience in your field. Salary Commensurate with experience
