Biotech Equity Research Opportunity: Partner applications open at S Phase Bio Fund

S Phase Bio Fund is a new Nashville-based general partnership, founded by graduate students, with the goal of educating Partners in the art of investing in small- to mid-cap public biotechnology companies while seeking capital growth. Biotech equity research is an emerging career path that harnesses valuable analytical, communication, and knowledge mobilization skills that students gain during their graduate careers. Potential employers in this industry range from VC firms to investment banks.

At S Phase Bio Fund, we offer educational bootcamps to empower Partners to perform due diligence and manage real portfolios. We also host regular networking events and invite industry professionals. The application is open to anyone pursuing biomedical research and/or investment management. Experience in finance/equity research is a plus, but not required. Check out our website for more information and to apply!

To kickoff our professional development and networking events, we will be hosting a biotech entrepreneurship seminar followed by a biotech meetup on Monday, April 25. These events are co-sponsored by the Wond’ry, and will take place from 2:30–4 PM and 4–6 PM respectively in the 3rd floor lounge of the Wond’ry. Ron Shigeta, Ph.D. (co-founder of IndieBio and a serial biotech entrepreneur), Will Clem and Orin Wilson (co-founders of Bite Ninja, YC ’21) will be the distinguished guests. RSVP for this event on our website.
