The 2025-26 application open, originally scheduled for June 1, will now open in mid-July to accommodate preparations for a new pilot program being introduced this application cycle. This initiative will broaden the scope of opportunities available and enhance policy fellowship experiences.
The AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships (STPF) remains committed to providing a defining experience in science policy and is still your premiere opportunity to gain firsthand experience in federal policymaking.
We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to sharing more details about the pilot program and the application process in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we encourage you to stay in touch; you can expect continued updates from us, including invitations to the 2025 Live Chat Series with STPF fellows. The first chat is on June 24 and will talk about what it’s like to pursue a career in science policy.
