The Academy of College Teaching (ACT) is a ten-week, cohort-based workshop series for Vanderbilt graduate students and postdocs who are preparing for careers in college-level teaching. The program covers course design, classroom techniques, and professional development strategies for early-career instructors. Participants leave the program with materials they can use to further their teaching careers, such as course designs and teaching statements, as well as a completion badge that they can list on their CVs to demonstrate their commitment to their professional development as teachers.
The fall 2026 ACT series will begin on September 15 and end on November 18. The deadline to register is September 4.
