Opportunity Description: BIOE Engineering Education Fellow

The Bioengineering Department at Stanford University is inviting applications for an Engineering Education Fellow to work with committed faculty in transitioning Bioengineering core courses from traditional lecture/problem set courses into active learning experiences and to reimagine and retool the undergraduate core curriculum. This is a unique opportunity for graduating PhD students in Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, or a related engineering/scientific field to join an exciting and collaborative department and to help define the future of Bioengineering education, a great job opportunity.

The appointment begins on or before July 31, 2017, for a two-year term that the department plans to extend for one additional year depending on programmatic need and job performance. Position title and starting salary will depend on the candidate’s level of experience. Salary and benefits will be at or above a competitive level for postdoctoral fellowships in Bioengineering at Stanford.

At least one letter writer should address the applicant’s experience or qualifications/promise as an educator.
