The Laboratory of Dr. Matthew Bettini has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral scientist within the Diabetes and Endocrinology Section of the Pediatrics Department at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a background in Immunology that can independently carry multiple projects. The postdoctoral scientist would be a part of a group of Immunologists studying central and peripheral tolerance of self-antigens in models of autoimmunity.

The laboratory of Dr. Bettini is located within the Feigin Center for Pediatric Research. The center houses more than 120 investigators with interests in genetics, cardiology, oncology, neurology, infectious disease, pulmonary medicine, neonatology and nephrology. The center is affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), a premier research institution. As a part of the extensive research community at BCM, we have access to state of the art facilities and cores including cytometry, microscopy, next gen sequencing, proteomics and single cell genomics.

Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. in cellular or molecular immunology with a strong background in mouse models of immunology. Candidates with previous experience in autoimmunity, immune tolerance and molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
