Consider joining Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories where people are the most important element in our chemistry.  Celebrating over 50 years of service, Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories is a leading contract lab providing testing and research services in the environmental, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical sciences to clients worldwide. Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is seeking to fill a Post Doctoral: Applied Social Science Researcher position to support our Professional Scientific Staffing group in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

•Assist in the design and execution (through third-party contract research organizations) of survey studies related to tobacco product initiation, use and cessation; interpret results; synthesize key findings; offer insights and make receommendations

•Perform secondary research and analyses (e.g., Power Point presentation, White papers) 

•Support the development and evaluation of research tools (e.g. discussion guides/survey instruments) and techniques

•Engage with management and staff of contract research organizations; review the analyses and reports of others

The ideal candidate would possess:

•Demonstrated experience designing and conducting applied social science research (e.g., survey studies, structured interviews, field observations) 

•Passion for the review and synthesis of the scientific literature 

•Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail 

•Demonstrated experience working with statistics, including the ability to discuss statistical concepts

•Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint; working knowledge of SPSS is a plus

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

•Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

•PhD degree in psychology or other related degree concentration

•Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Position is expected to last 1-2 years with consideration for ongoing employment consideration
