Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a Postdoc to support our Professional Scientific Staffing Regulatory Sciences group in Richmond, VA.

Postdoc; Regulatory Sciences responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
•Successful candidate is expected to get involved in various clinical research activities related to study design, sample size estimation, randomization plan, clinical study protocol, statistical analysis plan, statistical tables, listings and figures(TFLs), clinical study reports, oral presentations and publications. 

•Develop statistical models to assess the potential impact of reduced-risk tobacco products on public health.  One example of the models is a comprehensive dynamic model that allows the estimation of all-cause mortality for a cohort; Markov Chain Monte Carlo techniques, population estimates from US life tables and national surveys may be used

•Review scientific literature for appropriate statistical approaches

•Review national surveys and other data sources for data

•Interpreting statistical results and prepare key findings and reports 

The ideal candidate would possess:
•Strong background in Applied Statistics, including linear models, categorical data analysis and survival analysis

•Experience reviewing scientific literature in statistical methods for clinical or health science research

•Experience performing statistical analyses, interpreting statistical results and preparing key findings and reports

•Strong verbal and writing skills

•Hands-on experiences with SAS or other statistical packages

•Interest in clinical studies for alternative tobacco products under FDA regulation.  

•Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

•Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail 

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

•Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:
•Doctorate degree in biostatistics, biometrics, statistics or a related field
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Richmond, Virginia are encouraged to apply.
