The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF) is seeking two Postdoctoral Fellows to support studies performing parasitological and immunological investigations in small mammal model of schistosomiasis and filariasis.  One position is open in the laboratory of Dr. Stephen Davies, and the other in the laboratory of Dr. Edward Mitre in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.   Both projects are being conducted by a small group of researchers within a collegial atmosphere.  Approaches will include, but are not limited to, animal dissection, multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, and quantitative PCR. A Ph.D., D.V.M., or M.D. degree in parasitology, molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, cell biology, or microbiology is required. Experience working with small mammal models of infection would be advantageous.  These positions are dependent upon funding.
