This is position in the laboratory of Durga Singer, MD, in the Department of Pediatrics.  

As a newly minted independent investigator, Durga is doing very interesting work in the areas of hematopoiesis and tissue macrophage biology as they relate to obesity-induced inflammation and metabolism.  Project areas include: 

1. Mechanisms driving hematopoiesis in diet-induced obesity, including changes in the bone marrow niche. 

2. Sex differences in diet-induced obesity. 

3. Translational investigations aimed at understanding the clinical impact of diet-induced inflammation.
