The Assistant Director of Research Development (ADRD) coordinates and provides support for research project, training and outreach proposals focused in the biological sciences. The ADRD works under the direction of the Director of Research Development, and has a coordinating relationship to the Dean of Biological Sciences and to the Associate Dean for Research. Specific responsibilities include research program strategy development; coordination of team approach to large projects involving faculty and administrative staff from various academic schools and central administrative units; proposal preparation and submission. The ADRD maintains, through the Research Development Office, liaison function among Deans, faculty and staff; the Office of Research, including the Vice Chancellor’s Office, Office of Technology Alliances, and the Office of Research Administration; and academic units across the campus. Works with relevant University Advancement offices including Corporate Development and Foundation Relations to coordinate proposals to corporations and foundations to support major interdisciplinary grant activities involving corporate or foundation participation.

Salary: Annual $63,665.00 – $86,827.00
Work Schedule: 8-5, M-F
