Job Posting: Part-time Instructor, Biochemistry I, MTSU, Murfreesboro, TN

Posted by on Thursday, December 10, 2015 in Uncategorized .

We have an urgent need for a part-time instructor to teach Biochemistry I (CHEM 4500) next semester at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).  This is a lecture-only course that we normally have not offered in the spring, but the growth of our program is starting to dictate a need for this class.  The course is already fully developed, and there are syllabi and other resources available from other instructors who have taught the course recently.  The course is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:40-11:05 am and currently has 20 students enrolled.

There may also be other teaching opportunities (i.e. laboratory teaching assignments) within the department for candidates who would also be interested in those.

We need a candidate who is has the equivalent of a M.S. degree or better in Chemistry or Biochemistry (Ph.D. preferred).  The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and teaching experience is a plus.

Any questions about the position can be directed to me by reply email or at the phone numbers given below.
