Dr. Narender Gavva in the Neuroscience department at Amgen, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow in the area of Transient Receptor Potential (TRP) channel pharmacology. The proposed project(s) covers TRP channels in general with emphasis on targets linked to disease by human genetics. The postdoctoral fellow will work independently but closely interact with the Neuroscience & Cardiometabolic teams and other functions. The Postdoc will be encouraged to attend and present at scientific conferences and publish his/her findings. The duration of the fellowship is 2-3 years.
PhD at the time of appointment; Experience in electrophysiology, molecular biology, and calcium imaging
PhD in Cell Biology or Neuroscience; Experience in advanced manual patch-clamp techniques such as endolysosomal or cardiomyocyte patch or single channel recordings; Peer-reviewed publication(s) on ion channels.
