Job Posting: Postdoctoral Fellowship, Renal Tubule Epithelial Cell Biology

The Vanderbilt University Division of Nephrology and Hypertension is accepting competitive applications for a renewable one-year postdoctoral fellowship in epithelial cell biology.  Applicants must have a PhD, MD, or other advanced degree in life sciences and a track record of mentored research and publications in epithelial cell biology.  During the fellowship period, the successful candidate will study the roles of fluid shear stress and substrate mechanics on transport and barrier function of tubule cells.  It is expected that the successful candidate will compete for an NIH career development award (K01 or K08) during the fellowship and continue the investigations during the early phase of transition to independence.  Vanderbilt University’s Division of Nephrology and Hypertension provides an exciting, supportive multicultural environment in a thriving metropolitan area.
