The Burroughs Wellcome Fund, an independent private foundation established to advance biomedical research and education, is seeking to hire a program officer to manage its competitive award program in education and diversity, as well as develop and administer other award programs. BWF is located in Research Triangle Park, N.C. and annually awards $35 million in grants.

It is preferred, but not required, that successful applicants have a terminal degree in the sciences or education, plus a minimum of five years of related experiences. Individuals considered will have demonstrated management and administrative experience, have an understanding of the research and teaching environment and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with education and experience.
