Looking to develop speaking and leadership skills? Get better at thinking on your feet? Ace your job interview or qualifying exam? Vanderbilt Toastmasters can help!

The Vanderbilt Chapter of Toastmasters meets at 6pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month in Buttrick Hall 310  on Vanderbilt's campus. For the rest of the fall 2015 semester, we have scheduled meetings on: Oct 14, 28, Nov 11, and Dec 9.

Our club is composed of Vanderbilt Undergraduate and Graduate students of all disciplines as well as non-Vanderbilt affiliated citizens.

Our meetings are composed of members giving prepared speeches, participation in impromptu speeches, as well as an evaluation session. Through giving speeches and and receiving feedback, we improve upon our communication abilities. Through participation in other roles such as leading the meeting (toastmaster), being an oral evaluator for a speech, or evaluating some other aspect of the meeting (speech timer, counting usage of crutch words such as "ah", etc.), we foster leadership skills, as well as the ability to give constructive feedback to others.

Guests are always welcome!
