Paying Uncle Sam: Understanding Taxes for Stipends, Grants, and Fellowships

So you have a fellowship that doesn’t withhold federal tax: do you have to pay taxes? What if you don’t receive a statement or W2 from the university—do you still owe tax?  What about other funding that may be taxed?  What credits and deductions should you be aware of? What do W2, 1098T, 1099, and 1042S mean?  Come and learn about your tax considerations and ask questions. The speakers will cover tax issues for both domestic and international students/postdocs.
