Job Opportunity: Postdoctoral Fellowship, Cardiovascular Medicine, VUMC

A Post-Doctoral position is available immediately in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine to study the fundamental role of nucleotidases in cardiovascular disease. Small laboratory animal models, biochemistry, molecular biology, and proteomics techniques are the main research approaches for these studies, complemented by human studies. The successful applicant will hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. with 2 years of post-doctoral experience. Expertise in either platelet biology or cardiomyocyte biology combined with proficiency in both biochemical assays and molecular biology are necessary.

The Commons Lab of the Wilson Center's Science and Technology Innovation Program conducts research and independent policy analysis on emerging technologies that facilitate collaborative science and decision-making, with an emphasis on their social, organizational, legal, and ethical implications. As a part of the ongoing efforts by the India Alliance to encourage Clinical and Public health research in India, the Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance have come up with two initiatives; 1) Two Year Research Training Fellowships for Clinicians, and 2) Early, Intermediate and Senior Fellowship schemes for Clinicians and Public Health researchers.
