The Presidential Management Fellows Program Office is extending the Application Period for the PMF Class of 2018 to Noon EST on Monday, November 6th to allow for applicants in areas impacted by recent natural disasters sufficient time to complete an application. The application period will be extended for all applicants.

The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) are partnering to support their upcoming Outbreak! exhibit, which is focused on zoonotic viral diseases and will open in May 2018 to commemorate the 1918 flu pandemic. The core of our partnership will be an ASM Fellow who is detailed to NMNH to develop programming supporting the exhibit (film screenings, game nights, activities within the exhibit, etc.): ASM Public Outreach Fellowship. We are looking for someone with expertise in infectious diseases/virology/zoonoses, as well as experience engaging the public. This is a 12-month,paid position with benefits, and is the perfect stepping stone for someone looking to break into the world of science outreach.
