Tennessee Science Standards Development Team Opportunity The State Board of Education formed a committee to evaluate the current science standards in Tennessee and propose a direction for future standards. This committee concluded the first phase of work and directed the department to propose a set of revised Tennessee standards for science education. If adopted, new Tennessee science standards would go into effect during the 2016-17 school year.
