Volunteer Opportunity: Alzheimer’s Ambassador

Posted by on Thursday, July 10, 2014 in Uncategorized .

Good morning fellow Advocates! The Middle TN Alzheimer’s Association office is looking for 2 new Ambassadors and those that would like to be part of an Advocacy Team. First let me explain the two roles:

1. Ambassadors are single individuals assigned to each member of Congress to build a relationship with them throughout the year to educate them on our federal priorities. The time commitment is no more than 2-5 hours per month. We currently have spots open for working with Representative Jim Cooper and Senator Lamar Alexander. If you are interested in this role and live in their districts please send a letter of interest to Tcloud-mann@alz.org by next Wednesday, July 16th.

2. The Congressional Advocacy Team is new. These are 2-3 individuals assigned per congressional district to assist the Ambassador in the required visits and contacts with the member of congress. The time commitment for this role would most likely be 1-2 hours per month. If you are interested in this role please send a letter of interest to Tcloud-mann@alz.org.

As always, thank you for being an Advocate for those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
