All module participants will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end, pending regular attendance without unexcused absences,\u00a0and completion of the data science project.<\/p>\n

Attendance policy<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

Twelve individuals will be selected for this unique module. Since this is a limited enrollment opportunity, we will select participants who can commit to attending all sessions and completing\u00a0the data science project.\u00a0Limited absences for professional obligations\u00a0like scientific conferences are understandable and\u00a0should be discussed in advance with the course Program Manager. Unexcused absences will influence your ability to register for future ASPIRE program activities and obtain travel funds for\u00a0ASPIRE\u00a0on the Road trip\u00a0or ASPIRE\u00a0internships.<\/p>\n

We do not notify research advisors that their student or postdoc is participating in an ASPIRE module. Instead, we encourage all trainees to maintain open communication with their advisor about their professional development\u00a0and discuss time away from the lab with their research advisor\u00a0in advance<\/em>\u00a0of accepting a position in the module.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
