Additionally:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PhD students must be affiliated with a<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medschool.vanderbilt.edu\/bret\/phd\">School of Medicine department or program<\/a><\/strong>, or have been admitted through the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/medschool.vanderbilt.edu\/igp\/igp-departments-programs\">IGP<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medschool.vanderbilt.edu\/qcb\/\">QCB<\/a><\/strong>, or\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/medschool.vanderbilt.edu\/imsd\/participating-departments\">IMSD<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>PhD students must have\u00a0passed their qualifying exams before the module begins on August 19.<\/li>\n<li>Postdoctoral fellows must be conducting research in a biomedical\u00a0sciences department or program affiliated with VU School of Medicine\u00a0or\u00a0VUMC; preference will be given to postdoctoral fellows who have been in their laboratory for at least six months, but all are welcome to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"lead rtecenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/datasciessentialsapp20202021\">Apply here!<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The application deadline is\u00a0 <strong>Monday, August 3rd<em>\u00a05 PM<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0Applicants will be notified in mid August whether they are accepted into the module. If accepted, we ask that you complete a free online short course offered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.datacamp.com\/\">DataCamp<\/a>,\u00a0Intro to Python for Data Science, prior to the first day of class on August 26.
