{"id":10456,"date":"2019-08-09T15:56:56","date_gmt":"2019-08-09T20:56:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medschool.prd.vanderbilt.edu\/career-development\/?p=10456"},"modified":"2019-08-09T15:56:56","modified_gmt":"2019-08-09T20:56:56","slug":"aspire-teaching-internship-molecular-methods-fisk-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medschool.vanderbilt.edu\/career-development\/2019\/08\/09\/aspire-teaching-internship-molecular-methods-fisk-university\/","title":{"rendered":"ASPIRE Teaching Internship: Molecular Methods, Fisk University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Fall 2019 ASPIRE Internship Opportunity: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Teaching Internship: Molecular Methods Course and Lab<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>1 Lecture: TBD (most likely 3:30-5:30), 2 Labs: Tuesday\/Thursday 9:30-11:30am<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Fisk University<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">1000 17th Avenue North<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Nashville, TN 37208<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fisk University is a small, historically black liberal arts university with a history of excellence in academics through teaching, research, and service.\u00a0 It is Nashville\u2019s oldest institution of higher education and conveniently located less than two miles from Vanderbilt.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>This teaching internship will provide experience in teaching a lab-intensive course within a liberal arts environment.\u00a0 The participant will be hosted by Dr. Brian Nelms, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biology and BMB (Biochemistry &amp;
