Belmont provides more than 95 areas of undergraduate study, 22 master\u2019s programs and five doctoral degrees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This teaching internship will provide experience in teaching a lab course within a liberal arts environment.\u00a0 The participant will be hosted by Dr. Darlene Panvini, Ph.D., Professor of Biology.\u00a0 <\/strong>The intern will also gain some exposure and insight into the day-to-day activities of life as a tenure-track professor with a blend of teaching and research responsibilities at a medium-sized university with a strong liberal arts tradition.<\/p>\n<p>The General Biology course includes 1 lab period and 2 lectures per week and is for nonscience majors. The course fulfills a General Education lab science requirement.\u00a0 Students range from freshmen to seniors.
