\nSimone serves as Vice President and Editor in Chief, with responsibility for content and data across BioCentury\u2019s intelligence platform, including analysis, multimedia and the BCIQ database. She directs coverage of innovation across the biotech ecosystem and the financing, regulatory and policy drivers behind it, the emergence of new trends and the growth of hubs, and the identification of white space targets and technologies. In addition, she leads BioCentury\u2019s annual Back to School project. Simone is also co-host of\u00a0The BioCentury Show, BioCentury\u2019s twice monthly in-depth conversation with global leaders who are determining the future of medicine, is a regular contributor on the\u00a0BioCentury This Week\u00a0podcast, and moderates panels globally on key topics for the biopharma industry.<\/em><\/p>\nPrior to joining BioCentury in 2013, Simone held roles at Nektar Therapeutics, Exponent and the Weizmann Institute of Science, after conducting a postdoc in signal transduction at the University of California San Francisco. She is an active advocate for women in leadership and was on the board of Women in Bio in 2013-20. Simone holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology from the Weizmann and a B.A. in Pharmacology from Cambridge University.
