{"id":19450,"date":"2024-02-21T15:46:12","date_gmt":"2024-02-21T21:46:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medschool.prd.vanderbilt.edu\/career-development\/?p=19450"},"modified":"2024-02-21T22:01:42","modified_gmt":"2024-02-22T04:01:42","slug":"bridge-to-bcg-consulting-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medschool.vanderbilt.edu\/career-development\/2024\/02\/21\/bridge-to-bcg-consulting-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Bridge To BCG Consulting Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Join the Boston Consulting Group for a Bridge to BCG immersive workshop designed to help you test-drive the BCG case team experience.<\/p>\n<p>As a Bridge to BCG participant you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Think strategically while solving a case in a realistic BCG case team simulation<\/li>\n<li>Team with Bridge participants and BCG consultants to understand the why and how behind case work<\/li>\n<li>Network and connect with BCG consulting staff and your fellow Bridge participants<\/li>\n<li>Get to know our culture and learn about life as a consultant<\/li>\n<li>You will be granted\u00a0\u00a0the opportunity to interview for a full-time position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">Selected candidates will have the opportunity to join one of two program options:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">In-person: May 21-22, 2024<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">Virtual: May 15-16, 2024<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">Offering both an in-person and virtual option allows us to expand our reach and provide more flexibility for participants. Both programs will provide you with the opportunity to test drive the consulting experience and get to know our consulting staff and fellow participants.<\/p>\n<p>If selected for the in-person program, you will be invited to the Bridge to BCG program location closest to your campus or home. We will cover round-trip transportation and one night at a hotel for out-of-town guests. Meal and reasonable expenses associated with the program are covered for all attendees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bridge to BCG is open to candidates currently enrolled in, or who have recently completed, advanced degree programs and are looking to start their full-time careers with BCG in 2025. Eligible candidates must currently reside in the United States or Canada and either attend or have an affiliation with a school or hospital within these countries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligible degree programs and pathways include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">PhDs\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">Postdocs (including industry postdocs)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">JDs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">MDs and MD residents\/fellows<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">Practicing physicians\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">Professors\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">Current non-MBA masters with a JD, MD, or PhD<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION PROCESS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">Our Bridge to BCG application has two components.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">Consulting &#8211; Full-time application (5-10 minutes)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ph-cc-ms-f-s-16 ph-cc-d-f-s-16 ph-cc-t-f-s-16 ph-cc-m-f-s-16\">Video cover letter\u00a0(45\u00a0minutes): An email invitation to complete the video cover letter will be sent on a rolling basis throughout February and March.
