{"id":20963,"date":"2023-12-07T08:09:21","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T14:09:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medschool.prd.vanderbilt.edu\/career-development\/?p=20963"},"modified":"2023-12-08T13:27:01","modified_gmt":"2023-12-08T19:27:01","slug":"aspire-internship-science-communication-internship-vi4-pmi-vumc-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medschool.vanderbilt.edu\/career-development\/2023\/12\/07\/aspire-internship-science-communication-internship-vi4-pmi-vumc-7\/","title":{"rendered":"ASPIRE Internship: Science Communication Internship, VI4, PMI, VUMC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Science Communication Internship, VI4, PMI, VUMC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>VI4 and PMI at Vanderbilt University Medical Center are looking for Science Communication Interns.<\/p>\n<p>This position provides an opportunity to contribute to VI4\u2019s mission of training the next generation of scientists and physicians and making fundamental discoveries in the areas of infection biology, immunology, and inflammation with the goal of increasing knowledge and improving human health.<\/p>\n<p>The interns will work under Karisa Calvitti, Project Manager for the Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology &amp; Inflammation (VI4) and the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology to learn about and execute creative communication strategies through both traditional and social media platforms. They will learn to craft the perfect caption, write a compelling editorial, and design infographics and animations. In addition, the intern team will work together to create content for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vumc.org\/viiii\/immuknow\">ImmuKnow+<\/a>, which aims to incorporate different elements of science communication in one platform.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, a team player, and dedicated to the achievement of their personal goals. This internship requires a candidate with a strong interest in science communication, attention to details, and an interest in science for a variety of audiences.
