Our mission is to lead the way to end Alzheimer&#8217;s and all other dementia\u2013 by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Alzheimer\u2019s Association will be offering an internship opportunity for Fall 2024 that will provide meaningful experiences for an individual interested in learning about the development of the scientific programming of the suite of conferences led by the Alzheimer\u2019s Association, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To develop template materials for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/alz.org\/neurosciencenext\/overview.asp\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">AAIC Neuroscience Next 2025<\/span><\/a>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This may include template educational sessions for publishing, reviewing, networking, and other skills<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To serve as a liaison between the AAIC Neuroscience Next Hybrid Hub leads and the Alzheimer\u2019s Association team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To assist with the execution of AAIC Neuroscience Next<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To engage in an interdisciplinary and international scientific work environment outside academia.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Internship Details:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is a\u00a0 part-time internship with a stipend of $1,600, less all applicable taxes and deductions, to be paid out biweekly<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We expect the intern to work approximately 8-10 hours for 10 weeks remotely on projects determined at the beginning and throughout the internship period.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are looking for a candidate with project management and interpersonal skills who excels in time and task management.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The internship will begin on August 12, 2024 and run between 10 weeks into October 18, 2024, with the possibility to extend requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must be a current Vanderbilt University PhD student or a current postdoctoral fellow.<\/li>\n<li>All PhD students must have completed all coursework for their degree prior to the start of the internship.<\/li>\n<li>Biomedical PhD students must also have passed their qualifying exams before the application deadline.<\/li>\n<li>Students and postdocs may not participate in more than one internship at a time. \u00a0More than one application may be submitted at a single time, but only one position can be accepted.<\/li>\n<li>If you are not in a
