They pioneer in integrating genetics with comic data to uncover proteomic signatures and develop predictive models for Alzheimer&#8217;s, Parkinson&#8217;s, and Dystonia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"\"><strong>Key\u00a0Responsibilities\u00a0and\u00a0Research\u00a0Areas<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"\">Their\u00a0current\u00a0projects\u00a0include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"\">Analyzing\u00a0brain,\u00a0CSF,\u00a0and\u00a0blood\u00a0multi-omic\u00a0data\u00a0(transcriptomics,\u00a0proteomics,\u00a0and\u00a0metabolomics)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"\">Identifying\u00a0biomarkers\u00a0using\u00a0machine\u00a0learning\u00a0approaches<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"\">Integrating\u00a0multi-omics\u00a0data\u00a0with\u00a0genomics,\u00a0transcriptomics,\u00a0and\u00a0methylomics<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They are seeking motivated researchers with strong analytical skills to generate novel insights into neurodegeneration using their unique datasets.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"\">They\u00a0are\u00a0looking\u00a0for\u00a0candidates\u00a0who:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold or are about to obtain a PhD in Genetics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistical Genomics, or related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Have hands-on experience with large-scale human omics studies, preferably related to neurodegeneration<\/li>\n<li>Possess solid programming skills in R, Python, or Peri, and experience in Linux\/high performance cluster environments<\/li>\n<li>Have the ability to perform analytical reasoning to extract biological insights and familiarity with publicly available resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"\"><strong>Why\u00a0Join\u00a0Them?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dr. Cruchaga&#8217;s lab offers a collaborative, well-funded environment with ongoing support from the National Institue of Aging, CZI, and the pharmaceutical industry.
