This internship offers hands-on experience working with real-world clinical data and collaborating across clinical, product, and operations teams.<\/p>\n<p>The scientific intern will support NashBio\u2019s products and services by developing resources that enable effective use of data access platforms, assisting in the interpretation of real-world clinical data, and contributing to key strategic projects.<\/p>\n<p>The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, with some flexibility around academic commitments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internship Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> Remote (based in Nashville, TN)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Schedule:<\/strong> Part-time (8-10 hours per week during normal business hours),<br \/>\n12 weeks with the opportunity to extend pending review<\/li>\n<li><strong>Compensation:<\/strong> Competitive, commensurate with experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Internship Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to profiling and curating clinical features in structured clinical data<\/li>\n<li>Assist in creating documentation to support users of real-world clinical data<\/li>\n<li>Participate in cross-functional collaboration on example data projects and use cases<\/li>\n<li>Lead additional projects based on interest and skillset (e.g., tracking publications for sales enablement, standardization of existing code in Jupyter notebooks, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Deliver a final presentation summarizing key findings, results, and recommendations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Internship Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gain exposure to the biotech and real-world data industries<\/li>\n<li>Develop valuable technical skills relevant to industry and research careers<\/li>\n<li>Understand the strengths and limitations of real-world clinical data<\/li>\n<li>Enhance familiarity with research ethics and data compliance requirements through completion of HIPAA and CITI training<\/li>\n<li>Build competencies in healthcare coding systems (e.g., RxNorm, ICD-CM) and in data standardization models (e.g., OMOP Common Data Model)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Internship Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong interest in industry roles, clinical research, or data science<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and professionalism<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of biology and genetics especially as they relate to human disease processes, pharmacology, signaling pathways, etc. is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Experience with data analysis &amp;
