UNC Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities\u00a0(UNC-CIDD) is recruiting three (3) postdoctoral fellows, starting this summer, for our NIH-funded T32 Postdoctoral Research Training Program in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities<\/a>, which is co-directed\u00a0by Mark Shen<\/a>\u00a0and Ben Philpot<\/a>. Our T32 program emphasizes research training in both the biological basis and clinical manifestations of neurodevelopmental disabilities\u00a0(NDDs). Continuously funded by NICHD since 2001, it was one of the first programs in the U.S. to bring together multi-disciplinary postdocs to accelerate translational research on NDDs. The UNC-CIDD T32 program has trained over 65 postdoctoral fellows to date, many of whom have subsequently obtained NIH K-awards, Simons Foundation, Burroughs Wellcome, or other prestigious junior faculty awards, and started their independent labs at R1 universities.<\/p>\n

I am also open to accepting a postdoc through this program to work on my lab\u2019s longitudinal neuroimaging and deep phenotyping studies<\/a>\u00a0of infants and toddlers diagnosed with autism and related genetic NDDs (including fragile X, Angelman syndrome, Dup15q, Rett syndrome, and Down syndrome), as well as our clinical trials in these populations.<\/p>\n
