Full Job Description: Associate Product Manager<\/a><\/p>\n

Description:<\/strong>
\nThe Associate Product Manager is dedicated to spearheading and overseeing sales & marketing initiatives in
\nPoly-Med\u2019s biomaterials and medical device\/components portfolio. The chosen individual will cultivate vital
\nrelationships with external customers, key stakeholders, and internal departments, playing a pivotal role in
\npropelling novel product innovation and the management of existing product lines. Essential qualifications for
\nthis role encompass exceptional interpersonal abilities, adept presentation skills, and strong leadership acumen.
\nAdditionally, this individual will play a key role in the company’s growth strategy by helping the customer
\nnavigate through the sales cycle. This person should be excellent at working with customers to define problem
\nstatements and be technical enough to work with Product Engineering, Materials, Science, & Technology, and
\nProduct Development departments to facilitate prospects through the sales cycle. Note, this role does involve
\ntravel.<\/p>\n

Scope:<\/strong>
\nThis is an entry-level Product Management position, and the individual should possess the
\naptitude\/background to progress to progress to more senior roles within [18-24] months, based on performance
\nand business needs.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\n1. Participates in overall marketing, product strategy, research and development requirements, development,
\nand manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.
\n2. Assists in understanding the voice of the customer (VOC) within Poly-Med for assigned market segments.
\n3. Assists with managing early-stage prototype development for internally and externally sponsored efforts,
\nestimates of potential profits, and release to production.
\n4. Assists in managing day-to-day progress of early-stage feasibility prototype development.
\n5. Assists in the maintenance of products transferred to production regarding pricing, product development
\npipeline, etc.
\n6. Works with Sales & Marketing team to develop marketing analysis to determine product definitions.
\n7. Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales & marketing, product engineering,
\nproduct development, operations, and quality to develop and provide product definitions responsive to
\ncustomer needs and market opportunities.
\n8. Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for product.
\n9. Works with Sales & Marketing team to coordinate and develop marketing, sales, engineering, and
\nfinancial plans for product line.
\n10. Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
\n11. Works with Sales & Marketing team to establish product development objectives and schedules for all
\nphases of product development and introduction to market.
\n12. Conducts market research and identifies and tracks market trends in company’s industry.
\n13. Produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
\n14. Identifies partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products to broaden company’s product line.
\n15. Participates in key sales situations for the product post-feasibility phase.
\n16. Maintains communications and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information for product line.
\n17. Identifies market potential, establishes pricing and market strategies, estimates potential sales, introduces market, distribution\/channel issues, and manages mature product through phase-out.
\n18. Works with Sales & Marketing team to define promotional activities, publicizing the product through the press, sales force, and alternate distribution channels.
\n19. Provides expertise in particular product area and develops strategies and applicable portions of the company business plan.
\n20. Works with Sales & Marketing team to plan, organize, and coordinate assigned programs to ensure accomplishment of financial\/budgetary goals and optimum allocation of resources.
\n21. Manages resources to execute assigned programs.
\n22. Coordinates details of program within the organization with a wide range of functions and individuals.
\n23. Works with Sales & Marketing team to coordinate product introductions and market exploitation with marketing and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of market segment.
\n24. Provides continuing product surveillance and management of established product to obtain financial objectives.
\n25. Helps coordinate externally sponsored and internally driven feasibility projects.
\n26. Represents Poly-Med by attending trade shows and conferences and maintaining active membership and participation in industry member groups and events.
\n27. Establishes and maintains relationships with customers and key accounts, industry influencers, and key partners.
\n28. Prepares New Opportunity Reviews (NORs) for assigned market areas.<\/p>\n

Education & Experience:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree required, preferably in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or chemistry.
\n\u2022 1 year of medical device sales and\/or marketing and\/or product management and\/or engineering and\/or clinical experience OR a master\u2019s degree is required.
\n\u2022 MBA preferred.
\n\u2022 Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.<\/p>\n

Knowledge and Skill Requirements\/Specialized Courses and\/or Training:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Knowledge of biomaterials and implantable medical devices.
\n\u2022 Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinates their activities to achieve desired results.
\n\u2022 Highly organized, dependable, detail oriented. Excellent time management and communication skills.
\n\u2022 Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills.
\n\u2022 Ability to speak in front of large groups.<\/p>\n
