KS is seeking to hire a recent graduate in biological sciences to work with its Chief Scientific Officer in support of his role in planning scientific meetings. This position will be primarily analytical, including tasks such as:\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 Analysis of US and global scientific trends\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 Analysis of government and Foundation funding announcements and funding trends\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 Analysis of current and past KS meeting portfolios to identify trends in attendance and demographics\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 Identifying new topic areas that could be targeted for new KS meetings\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 Assisting in preparing for the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) meetings and in the interpretation of SAB output\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 Assisting in the analysis of SAB membership (to maintain appropriate scientific balance and preempt future needs)\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 Maintaining and analyzing the competition database\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 Attending selected conferences to seek scientific feedback\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 Assisting with grant writing and the preparation of various reports\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 Participating in meeting placement discussions\u00a0<br \/> \u2022 And other topics that will arise during the course of employment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:\u00a0 <\/strong>The successful candidate must have a recent BA or BS in a biological science and an outstanding college record with evidence of a strong interest in biology\/medicine. Candidates must also have strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, social media, internet skills and knowledge of computer languages, such as SQL, would be optimal. Because of the nature of the position, the candidate must be very interactive and communicate well with colleagues.
