{"id":3599,"date":"2014-06-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-06-10T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medschool.prd.vanderbilt.edu\/career-development\/2014\/06\/10\/job-posting-associate-director-ibiology\/"},"modified":"2014-06-10T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2014-06-10T00:00:00","slug":"job-posting-associate-director-ibiology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medschool.vanderbilt.edu\/career-development\/2014\/06\/10\/job-posting-associate-director-ibiology\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Posting: Associate Director, iBiology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>iBiology is seeking a full-time Associate Director who will be involved in overseeing the production of science videos and engaging in communication\/outreach with the scientific and educational communities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Associate Director&#8217;s responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working closely with the Director on video production pipelines, including identifying seminar topics, working with speakers, and creating educational materials to accompany talks<\/li>\n<li>Developing and executing strategies to disseminate information on iBiology talks for academic and non-academic audiences worldwide<\/li>\n<li>Developing and maintaining a network of iBiology volunteers, including iBiology&#8217;s international volunteer program<\/li>\n<li>Writing about iBiology in blogs and newsletters, and maintaining a social media presence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ph.D. in the biological sciences (or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Experience and\/or demonstrated passion for science communication and education<\/li>\n<li>Superb presentation and written communication skills; ability to be creative and engaging in written communication<\/li>\n<li>Proven relationship-building skills with people from various backgrounds and cultural landscapes<\/li>\n<li>An enthusiastic and positive team player with strong interpersonal skills who is able to work well in a small team<\/li>\n<li>Well organized, detailed oriented and able to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Interest and\/or experience with international scientific communities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grant-funded staff position with American Society for Cell Biology, including salary and benefits commensurate with experience.\u00a0<em>EOE.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"h3\">To apply:<\/span><br \/>Please send a cover letter and resume to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ibiologyjob@ascb.org\">ibiologyjob@ascb.org<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>iBiology is seeking a full-time Associate Director who will be involved in overseeing the production of science videos and engaging in communication\/outreach with the scientific and educational communities.
