This outstanding program offers a&nbsp;year-abroad opportunity&nbsp;to develop research skills&nbsp;in a&nbsp;global health research setting.&nbsp;&nbsp;Details are in the text and links below; the application deadline is&nbsp;November 1, 2015.&nbsp; We and other VIGH faculty and staff members are eager to assist candidates in developing competitive applications.&nbsp; The entire spectrum of science is possible and relevant in LMIC settings, including basic, clinical, translational, population, and implementation science. &nbsp;We would appreciate your forwarding this announcement to your postdocs, students, departmental and institute\/center distribution lists, and anyone within your spheres who may be interested, and connecting us with them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Announcing a one-year NIH-funded opportunity for early-career investigators interested in working in low-resource settings.<\/p>\n<p>The Vanderbilt-Emory-Cornell-Duke (VECD) Fogarty Global Health Fellows Program provides supportive mentorship, research opportunities and a collaborative research environment for early stage investigators&nbsp;to enhance their&nbsp;global health research expertise and their careers.&nbsp; The program provides 11 months of stipend support, health insurance, modest research costs, travel costs to and from the international site, and a five-day orientation on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>This program is open to doctoral and post-doctoral applicants.&nbsp;
