In partnering with leading pharmaceutical\/biotech companies and investigators, we offer more than 500 clinical trials annually.<\/p>\n<p>Collectively, our comprehensive&nbsp; patient-centric services ensure that we are fulfilling our mission to advance science and transform care.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary of Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Bioinformatics Scientist in Personalized Medicine is responsible for providing bioinformatics support for the development and implementation of SCRI&rsquo;s global Personalized Medicine and Tissue Banking Initiatives. The Bioinformatics Scientist is also responsible for the establishment of bioinformatics platforms to support disease area programs and individual clinical trials.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Consulting and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for the development and execution of a bioinformatics platform in support of personalized medicine initiatives<\/p>\n<p>-Developing algorithms for integrating sequence-based\/functional knowledge about genes to help scientists\/physicians analyze and interpret genomic data<\/p>\n<p>-Assisting in clinical projects related to high-throughput omics data, including next generation sequencing (NGS), microarray (gene expression, microRNA, CNVs, and methylation), and proteomics data<\/p>\n<p>-Analyzing genomic and proteomic information and identifying opportunities and needs for innovative solutions for the analysis and management of molecular profiling data in relevant databases<\/p>\n<p>-Assisting in the development of software and custom scripts to automate data input, data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis; application of statistics, and visualization tools<\/p>\n<p>-Managing key processes involved in IT infrastructure design, database design, interface design, and information processing for personalized medicine initiatives<\/p>\n<p>-Maintaining large-scale genomic databases and preparing data for utilization by other scientists\/physicians<\/p>\n<p>-Monitoring new data from public databases and cleaning loaded data to satisfy quality control criteria<\/p>\n<p>-Providing direct technical and scientific customer support and helping to guide, implement and maintain further improvements related to bioinformatics software<\/p>\n<p>-Collecting, interpreting and disseminating key intelligence and information relating to bioinformatics to support personalized medicine initiatives<\/p>\n<p>-Working with direct reports to ensure the completion of Bioinformatics&rsquo; deliverables with high quality and timeliness<\/p>\n<p>-Developing and maintaining highly effective, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, as appropriate (SCRI personnel, key opinion leaders, clients, etc)<\/p>\n<p>-Proactively handling conflict of interest issues<\/p>\n<p>-Other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For more information about experience, education and competencies&nbsp;and&nbsp;and to apply, please see the link here:&nbsp;<strong>http:\/\/careersathca.com\/careers\/search.dot?jobId=03058-2695<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>All inquiries should be directed to:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Denise Zusack,&nbsp;\u200b<\/strong>Senior Recruiter<br \/>\nSarah Cannon Research Institute<br \/>\n3322 West End Avenue, Suite 900<br \/>\nNashville, TN 37203<br \/>\nDirect: (407) 258-8550 Mobile: (321) 287-6373<br \/>\n<strong>Denise.Zusack@sarahcannon.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sarah Cannon, the global cancer enterprise of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), offers integrated cancer services with convenient access to cutting-edge therapies for those facing cancer in communities across the United States and United Kingdom.
